If you look carefully at the Dore Grill you can make out the Five cottages that were turned into the first incarnation back in the 60’s Over the passing years its been a Tea room (Marsdens) and an Indian Restaurant; now its a traditional English restaurant and has been for over 17 years. That’s when Jose and his partner Manuel decided to leave the “Dam House Restaurant” and set up business together in the Dore Grill and Restaurant The locals were fond of their local restaurant and asked that the name stayed the same. So The Dore grill and Restaurant changed hands,
When Manuel unfortunately died one year later, Jose, Delores his wife and eventually Elisabeth the daughter had no choice but to carry on and make a go of their fledgling enterprise. That was in 1992. Now all these years later they are still there, a Testament to every thing they brought with them from Spain, the Hathersage inn, The Pink Panther, and The Dam House. Over 40 years of experience.
